Hi, I’m Chris—the carpenter behind English Oak Carpentry.

Originally from the UK, I qualified as a carpenter in New Zealand, where I developed a deep respect for solid, practical craftsmanship. I moved to Canada in 2019 and launched English Oak Carpentry in July 2024 with a simple goal: to offer honest, detail-driven work that people can count on.

I may be early in the life of this business, but carpentry has been part of my journey for years. From fine trim work to custom builds, I approach every project with care, precision, and a commitment to doing things right the first time.

What drives me is simple: I love working with my hands, solving problems, and bringing a clear sense of purpose to everything I build. I’m especially drawn to traditional techniques and natural materials—and over time, I’m aiming to grow into more complex custom and timber projects.

The name English Oak reflects my roots, my respect for heritage craftsmanship, and the kind of work I strive to deliver: strong, lasting, and full of character.
